Singapore Emcee Wayne Chan had the honour of hosting the official opening of UPS Healthcare’s new S$27million purpose-built healthcare facility in Singapore on 18 May 2023.
As patient care continues to change, the #logistics of healthcare does too. UPS experience as a world leader in complex #healthcare logistics ensures businesses in #Singapore and across the region can access the services they need to give every patient peace of mind.
The 8,700 square metre facility, which is located at Gul Circle, within easy reach of PSA Terminals, the manufacturing cluster at Tuas Biomedical Park and the site of the future seaport at Tuas, is capable of storing healthcare products in temperatures ranging from -80 degrees to 25 degrees Celsius.
Compliant with all GDPMDS, ISO 13485 and GMP certification standards, it is also able to provide additional value-added services such as packaging, labelling, returns logistics and local customs brokerage.
The facility also near doubles UPS’s overall healthcare warehousing space in Singapore to more than 19,000 square metres, adding to the company’s dedicated healthcare facility at the Airline Logistics Park of Singapore (ALPS).
Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Health & Ministry of Law, Rahayu Mahzam, who was in attendance at the opening ceremony, noted that UPS Healthcare’s global network and services played an important role in the distribution of vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic. While Singapore did well to keep supplies flowing, we nonetheless recognise the need to strengthen our supply chain resilience, to be better prepared for the next pandemic.
It is thus timely that UPS Healthcare is growing its regional capabilities in and from Singapore, expanding their services in healthcare logistics and innovation to benefit our local and regional ecosystem.
Thank you so much for having Singapore Emcee Wayne Chan as the master-of-ceremonies for the official opening of this important facility that’ll help provide better healthcare solutions for Singapore and beyond.
