It was an honour for Singapore International Emcee Wayne Chan to be engaged as the official #emcee to #host a week-long series of high level panels at the Singapore International Cyber Week 2024, that was attended by ministers, ambassadors, high level diplomats, c-suite leaders and top decision makers from around the world.

“Organised by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) is the Asia-Pacific’s most established cybersecurity event. CSA is Singapore’s national authority for cybersecurity and plays a pivotal role in Singapore’s Smart Nation and digital economy ambitions.

The ninth edition of the SICW will take place from 14 to 17 October 2024, at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore. Geopolitical and economic contestations, supply chain vulnerabilities and increasing pressures on the democratic process have impacted international security and stability. Under the theme of “Trust and Security in the Digital Era”, SICW 2024 will drive critical conversations and partnerships to foster trust and enhance security in the digital and cyber domain, amid an increasingly fragmented global landscape.

The event will bring together global policy makers, industry leaders and top academics from across the world to exchange best practices and strengthen international cooperation on topics ranging from harnessing digital opportunities and tackling cyber challenges, the evolution of cyberspace and cybersecurity policy, the implementation of cyber norms, as well as security in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Operational Technology (OT) space. “

It was an honour for Singapore Emcee Wayne Chan be the host and moderator of the fun fan meet-and-greet session with Singapore’s youngest Olympic medalist Max Maeder, organized by Yeo’s and NTUC FairPrice on 24th August 2024 at VivoCity Singapore.

Max is the reigning Formula Kite World, Asian, and European champion and holds the distinction of being the youngest winner in any Olympic sailing class competition, achieving this at the age of 16.

He is also Yeo’s Brand Ambassador, with a special edition packaging of the popular H-TWO-O Sparkling Isotonic drink designed with his likeness, now available at all leading retailers and e-commerce platforms.

Lighting up the room with his heartwarming and easygoing friendliness, fans were in for a treat as Max indulged the audience by personally interacting with almost every individual present, and even gamely playing rock paper scissors and “mewing” (look it up if you’re not a gen Z) as requested by some of his young adoring fans.

Graced by the CEOs of both Yeo’s and FairPrice, the event also saw Max being presented with a special memento – a touching illustration of him hugging his mum – and a $10,000 donation to the Singapore Sailing Federation from FairPrice Foundation to support the nutritional needs of future sailing stars.
