It was an honour for Singapore International Corporate Emcee Wayne Chan to host the The Singapore Contractors Association Ltd – SCAL‘s 85th Annual Gala Dinner at Marina Bay Sands on 12 October this year, with Guest of Honour, Minister for Ministry of National Development, Desmond Lee gracing the occasion. As SCAL’s first in-person event with more than 1,100 attendees, the evening was an opportunity for the industry to reconnect in-person after the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition to the launch of the commemorative book, it was a night to remember as SCAL celebrated key milestones and achievements of their members. The renowned Dr Ho Nyok Yong was presented SCAL’s highest honour as an honorary life member, to recognize his contributions to SCAL and the development of the construction industry.

5 awardees who attained A-star accreditations, the highest tier for the Construction Professional Accreditation Scheme (CPAS), were also presented their certificates on stage.

SCAL also gave out the Productivity and Innovation Award (PIA) to recognize member companies for their “thinking outside the box” innovations.
