Thank you to JETRO, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI), and Embassy of Japan in Singapore, for having International Emcee Wayne Chan #host the Singapore-Japan Fast Track Pitch Event 2024 in Singapore on July 19 last year. Co-organised with the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, Economic Development Board, and Enterprise Singapore, METI and JETRO launched the ASEAN-Japan Co-Creation Fast Track Initiative to support the creation of open innovation through collaborations among startups, SMEs, and large corporations from both ASEAN and Japan, in line with the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan friendship and cooperation in 2023. In front of about 300 participants (about 170 in-person and 130 online), 13 finalists from Japan, Singapore, and other countries presented their proposals on the open innovation challenges provided by the five challenge owners. Prior to the presentations, Mr. SAITO Ken, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore, gave the opening remarks, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation for the creation of innovation between the two countries. The next round of the Fast Track Pitch Event will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam. Singapore Emcee Wayne Chan had a blast hosting at the 10th edition of The Wicked Wallop for Boon Siew Singapore Honda, the exclusive distributor of Honda motorcycles, which is the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959.

Emcee Wayne had the pleasure of hosting the launch of not just one but three bikes – the Honda CT125, Forza750, and XADV750.

At the public event targeted at Singapore’s biking community, Honda also had an auction for the custom-painted CT125 by two amazing artists from Thailand and Taiwan.

Plus a fun “guess the bike” game where visitors and shoppers who guessed the 3 mystery bike models correctly, could win exclusive limited edition merchandise.

It was an honour for International Singapore Conference Emcee Wayne Chan to be appointed as the main anchor emcee to host the exclusive by-invite only cybersecurity event of the year. CSIT TechCon 2024 is a vibrant platform where delegates and attendees can gain groundbreaking insights and forge crucial partnerships with like-minded participants to collectively shape cybersecurity postures and threat understanding. Leaders and practitioners from various Singapore government agencies, alongside experts from the global tech industry sparked off insights as they dived l into enablers like AI and cloud computing. As these technologies race forward, CSIT TechCon24 explored how they are transforming cybersecurity and threat landscape. The event also saw NTT DATA and NTT Security Holdings signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) to partner on strengthening Singapore’s national cyber defence. The partnership aims to investigate and share cybersecurity intelligence across the Asia Pacific region. It will encompass advanced analytical methodologies, cross-disciplinary technology exchanges in areas such as data engineering and cutting-edge architecture, and efforts to counter threats from sophisticated adversaries. The MoU provides a framework for exploring new opportunities for NTT Data in Singapore and NTT Security Holdings’ platforms to be piloted and customised to meet Singapore’s cybersecurity needs. CSIT will benefit from collaborative projects that address targeted cybersecurity issues and creating expandable solutions to bolster Singapore’s defensive prowess. Regular leadership meetings and evaluations will ensure sustained progress and ongoing enhancements. “It is imperative that in an increasingly digitally connected world, businesses are adequately equipped with the right capabilities to cope with the cybersecurity risks emerging from today’s technological advancements. It was an honour for Singapore International Emcee Wayne Chan to be engaged as the official #emcee to #host a week-long series of high level panels at the Singapore International Cyber Week 2024, that was attended by ministers, ambassadors, high level diplomats, c-suite leaders and top decision makers from around the world.

“Organised by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) is the Asia-Pacific’s most established cybersecurity event. CSA is Singapore’s national authority for cybersecurity and plays a pivotal role in Singapore’s Smart Nation and digital economy ambitions.

The ninth edition of the SICW will take place from 14 to 17 October 2024, at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore. Geopolitical and economic contestations, supply chain vulnerabilities and increasing pressures on the democratic process have impacted international security and stability. Under the theme of “Trust and Security in the Digital Era”, SICW 2024 will drive critical conversations and partnerships to foster trust and enhance security in the digital and cyber domain, amid an increasingly fragmented global landscape.

The event will bring together global policy makers, industry leaders and top academics from across the world to exchange best practices and strengthen international cooperation on topics ranging from harnessing digital opportunities and tackling cyber challenges, the evolution of cyberspace and cybersecurity policy, the implementation of cyber norms, as well as security in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Operational Technology (OT) space. “

It was an honour for Singapore Emcee Wayne Chan be the host and moderator of the fun fan meet-and-greet session with Singapore’s youngest Olympic medalist Max Maeder, organized by Yeo’s and NTUC FairPrice on 24th August 2024 at VivoCity Singapore.

Max is the reigning Formula Kite World, Asian, and European champion and holds the distinction of being the youngest winner in any Olympic sailing class competition, achieving this at the age of 16.

He is also Yeo’s Brand Ambassador, with a special edition packaging of the popular H-TWO-O Sparkling Isotonic drink designed with his likeness, now available at all leading retailers and e-commerce platforms.

Lighting up the room with his heartwarming and easygoing friendliness, fans were in for a treat as Max indulged the audience by personally interacting with almost every individual present, and even gamely playing rock paper scissors and “mewing” (look it up if you’re not a gen Z) as requested by some of his young adoring fans.

Graced by the CEOs of both Yeo’s and FairPrice, the event also saw Max being presented with a special memento – a touching illustration of him hugging his mum – and a $10,000 donation to the Singapore Sailing Federation from FairPrice Foundation to support the nutritional needs of future sailing stars.

I hosted the annual InsureTech Connect Asia event from May 30 to June 1, 2023, at Marina Bay Sands Grand Ballroom. The conference featured industry leaders, professionals, and InsurTech providers discussing the future of insurance. Sopnendu Mohanty from MAS gave the opening keynote, and panels addressed topics like developing a future-proofed workforce. Over 200 leaders participated in interactive discussions, and 100+ InsurTech solution providers showcased innovations. The event also included the ITC Asia Awards finals and a Pitch Competition.
